Juice 02:49
Verse 1 Over out out I’ll shut my mouth I do not doubt [You have] something to say [My] drink’s almost out [And] I’ll be on my route [Un]less you can spout Something to make me stay Chorus Come tell me something softly I hear secrets often Rumors are all false and Secrets might be true I swear I won’t mention It might need intervention We’ll all need some contention To see this thing through Verse 2 Lifted and done Take a seat son I can be someone To spill some juice for I know we’ve just met But your eyes are wet And my thirst is set Waiting for it to pour Chorus Chorus Lai Lai

Panacea 04:14
Verse 1a I try to roll it out in stages I try to break into the symphony But gimme a break with all the noise Gimmie a break from all the anti-sympathy Verse 1b Call it an argument in plain view Call it a cure to fuckin cancer I won’t take your panacea I won’t take your shitty answer Chorus Call it systemic indecision Call it a day spent well in bed I will try hard not to hurt you Take you to new places instead Call it righteous indignation Call him the last hero of the west We all turn our heads Because, who are we to say what’s best Verse 2a I’ll never break that smell of danger I’ll never shake that sense of guilt For all the deeds I haven’t done yet And hope to call them well spilt milk Verse 2b It’s anti-identity and bollocks It’s all I’ve ever said and more But happiness in the smell of dirt Is found face down on the floor Chorus Spoken Bridge I want to identify some people That have found some thing to worship That isn’t wealth or youth our power That gives us something shared and something perfect Chorus
4.
Nicotine 03:01
Verse 1 I can see all the words I’m gonna say Flashing in my mind on marquee display
I write my words with continuous lines To hide the fact my thoughts are discretized I burned my notebooks and I burned all my art In the dead of night, to wake up fresh start To quit a part of me to ardently dismiss it But when I close my eyes sleep doesn’t visit Chorus I smoked those cigarettes to trade my time For camaraderie and piece of mind But all the that writing and the lucid dreams Came before the nicotine Verse 2 Who watches over us who stops to contain The wherewithal, gumption and sweet aspertame I’ll never know you but I’ll know a part And for some time I’ll hold it in my heart I never liked the way it rains So fine and misty you have to squint and strain I love it when the drops bulge at the seems And break on you and in seconds you’re clean Chorus Post-Chorus I tried to control My immediate world But I was floored By the flow of it all And with a rush of disgust Mixed up with the lust I went blank

Weekend 05:33
Clarinet Intro Verse 1 I wanna dance with you in innocent time Spin you round to see your face through the light [I wanna] smell you sweating from the heat of it all [Until you] feel it dripping from your forehead and arms [Around me], around my neck and you know I’m all yours Come into kiss me, just to be sure To hold you closely is never close enough [As the] world dissolves around Us Chorus We could try to make a weekend [But] I just wanna sleep in We know we could just up and skip that Just draw lines on eachothers’ backs Chorus Verse 2 I wanna dance with you in innocent time Spin you round to see your face through the light [I wanna] smell you sweating from the heat of it all [Until you] feel it dripping from your forehead and arms [Around me], around my neck and you know I’m all yours Come into kiss me, just to be sure To hold you closely is never close enough [As the] world resolves around Us

Meadow View 03:20
Harp Intro Verse 1 They closed down the school They’re damming up the river Nobody can fight it And we’re not going back No we’re not going back The ponderosa pines Don’t change with the seasons But they burn in the summertime When the berries turn black The berries all turn black Slide intermediate Verse 2 Burning needles in the backyard I swore to myself not to miss her To backtrack the trail of the pioneers [They came] here with the promise of treasure [They came] here with the promise of treasure [Whether it’s the] 405 or the Golden Gate We all have our reasons For saying goodbye to that meadow view But oh it was a pleasure Oh it was a pleasure Oh it was a pleasure Oh it was a pleasure

about

For a week in early July 2015 I slept on Connor's couch in Los Angeles, CA. Our goal was to play music every day for the length of my visit. We swapped riffs and spat thoughts, shared stories, explored LA, went to parties, and saw old friends. By the end of the week our riffs had turned into chord progressions, our thoughts had turned into lyrics and we had these seven songs. I hope you enjoy listening to them as much as we enjoyed making them.
